Machine Introduction
Cast film extrusion is a widely used process for producing high-quality, thin Stretch / Cling films with a wide range of applications across various industries, Cast Line Extrusion plays a crucial role in meeting the demand for Stretch/Cling films used in packaging, agricultural applications, medical products, adhesive tapes, and other industries where thin, uniform films are required.
Cygnet Machinery Offers Two Layer and Three Layer type of cast film extrusion machine , engineered to meet specific production demands and deliver Stretch / Cling / films with different properties and characteristics. Manufacturers can choose the most suitable type of machine based on their desired film specifications, application requirements, and production volume. Stretch cast film machines can produce stretch films used for pallet wrapping and securing loads. These films have the ability to stretch and cling to items, providing excellent load stability during transportation and storage.

Major Components
- Cygnet machinery Offers Two and Multi Layer , The process begins with the plastic resin, typically polyethylene (PE), being fed into the extruder. The extruder melts the resin and forces it through a specially designed die to form a continuous sheet of molten plastic called Stretch / Cling Film.
- The casting unit is a critical part of the cast line machine. It consists of a Steel chilling roll and a flexible rubber-coated roll . The melt Sheet from the die is directed onto the chill roll, which is internally cooled to rapidly cool the molten plastic. The rubber roll applies pressure to ensure intimate contact with the chill roll, resulting in a smooth and uniform film.
- A cast line machine trimmer is an essential component of a cast film production line. It is used to trim the edges of the cast film to ensure uniform width and remove any irregularities or excess material. This process is crucial for maintaining the quality and consistency of the final product. This trim layer is Reintroduces back into the extruder to minimize waste.
- Tension control systems work throughout the process to ensure that the film maintains a consistent tension to prevent wrinkling or distortion . Further the film is guided through various rollers to the take-up unit. The take-up unit winds the film onto a large roll known as a jumbo roll .
